Angle, Aiden (Reverend Father)
Brother: Harry Angle (Brigadier)
Reverend Father Angle was the companion and private secretary of Father Carlyle. They travelled to the Kootenay’s in the early 1920s and then to Kelowna where Father Carlyle purchased Bear Creek Ranch in 1921.
Father Angle gave sermons at Princeton’s St. Peter’s Catholic Church in 1923 and 1928.
In 1930, they came to the Princeton area where Father Carlyle stayed and Father Angle “departed to other parts of the province.” They travelled together to England in early 1933 and returned to Princeton in April 1934.
Father Angle was sent to Ocean Falls and Father Carlyle remained in Princeton. However, Angle traded places with Carlyle due to Carlyle’s failing health. He didn’t remain long.
By 1939, Angle was the Catholic Chaplin at Shaughnessy Veteran’s Hospital in Vancouver.
