James finished term as Councilman after resignation of Sandra Henson 1977, also 78; Came to Princeton in 1976.
He was the foreman at Northwood Mills (in 1978 he was 37 years of age). He was married with two teenage children.
In 1978, he ran for alderman and won by a large margin; resigned for personal reasons August 1979.
