Bonnevier, Charles Hjalmer
Charles Bonnevier was born in Sweden on October 9, 1865. He died on October 29, 1952 in Princeton, BC. He was buried on the Tower Ranch on October 31, 1952. His death registration lists his occupation as prospector.
In 1949 Charles was the first person past the barrier after Premier Johnson performed the ceremony of opening the Hope Rd.

He was here since 1895. Bonnevier Creek was named after him. In partnership with Pouwels with the Red Star Mine, on Roche River. Obtained some fine looking silver – lead ore discovered on Muddy creek in 1913.
