W.H. Armstrong died in April 1922.
W.H. Armstrong had the first automobile in BC – a Stanley Steamer bought in 1899.
He was a train master and road master for Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) in 1886 in 1887.
Armstrong went into a contracting business (1st job in New Westminister water mains)
During the 1890’s, he tunnelled for copper at Rabbitt Mtn.
In 1907, the 4 brothers launched Keremeos Land Co. and the townsite. Irrigation project for Keremeos, started deep wells (govt. consummated?/confiscated? this in 1946).
Set up machine shop and factory on False Creek, built mining equipment, bridges (7 Canadian National (CN) built at the same time), 1912.
During WW1 he was in charge of Alberta & Crow’s Nest coal production.
