Campbell, Hugh “Hughie”

Hugh Campbell was born at sea, coming to Halifax, NS on May 18, 1835. He was in his 70’s in 1913. He was associated with Colonel Stevenson (he died two months before Stevenson). He lived at Ashnola, BC. He died on September 28, 1922 in Princeton, BC.
Accomplishments:
Veteran of the Cariboo gold rush.
He held the mining claims Three Forks and H.C. Whipsaw Creek 20 miles southwest of Princeton.
