Harry Dearing was born around 1897 in Marsville, ON. He married Margaret Mitchell on July 10, 1930 in Vernon, BC. At the time of their marriage, he was working as a forest ranger and living in Tappen, BC. Margaret was working as a teacher and living in Salmon Arm, BC.
He worked for the local Forestry Department in 1950. He came from Salmon Arm in December 1942 as the new district forester.
He was at the grand opening of the Royal Canadian Legion on July 7th, 1962
He moved to Salmon Arm and was a teacher at Salmon Arm. He was a Similkameen Star subscriber June 1945, September 1949.
