Deeks, W.F., Dr.
Dr. Deeks was from McGill University, Montreal. Around 1900, he was testing the Sunset Mine, located in 1888 by R.A. Brown.
He applied for improvements on Vancouver Mineral Claim on Copper Mountain, April 17, 1900.
He had a claim, or claims, on Ten Mile Creek which he sold to the B.C. Gold Company of London, England, around 1901.
Dr. Deeks had a big force of men working for him on the Helen H. Gardiner claim. (Rich pockets of peacock copper and bornite were found but they petered out and work was abandoned).
