Keith Fahrni was born on May 3, 1914 in Gladstone, Manitoba. He married Ruth Stringer on June 22, 1946 in North Vancouver. At the time of his marriage, he was living at Copper Mountain and working as a geologist. Ruth was living in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and working as a public school teacher. Keith Fahrhi died in the Richmond Hospital on July 18, 2001.
He had been employed for thirty years as a mining engineer and geologist for Granby Mining & Smelting and Power Co
In September 1946, he was a member of a party of men who rescued Al Hartfield (Copper Mountain) who fell while fishing on the Similkameen River.
