Fairley, James
Mae (Logan) Fairley
James Fairley was born on August 7, 1914 in Merritt, BC. He married Mae Logan in Merritt on March 21, 1938. He died on September 19, 1971 in Merritt.
They arrived in Princeton from Merritt in 1941 where he managed coal mines till 1958. He was then appointed foreman of the Village of Princeton until 1961 when they moved back to Merritt.
Fire Chief at the Princeton Volunteer Fire Dept.
Worked for Village in Merritt. He was the Parks Foreman Town of Merritt. He left his position in July 1971, shortly before his death.
Mae returned to Princeton was active in Eckankar and a prime mover in newly formed Senior Citizens and instrumental in getting start – up grants for drop-in. She returned to Merritt 1987 – 8? Worked for Ralph Oslund Jewellers Ltd.
