Matt Findlay was born around 1865, son of Matthew and Jennet Findlay. He married Matilda Laurence in Yale in May 25, 1885. They were both living in Yale at the time of their marriage. Matthew Findlay, Jr., was a store clerk. He died on June 21, 1907 in New Westminster.
In June 1900, he was working(?) the Sterling claim. He was the locator and applicant for a claim to look for coal on 640 acres in 1902.
Livestock from the Findlay estate was up for sale in December 1907 (Mrs. L.C. Holmes, Granite Creek).
