Glen Allin was born in Arcola, Saskatchewan to Lorne Allin and Sarah (Callendar) Allin. He moved to Princeton as a child in 1935 and attended school at Princeton, graduating in 1948. He was a member of the senior boys’ shot put team. He married Bunny Garrow .
While he was in high school, he was a “carrier-salesman” for The Vancouver Daily Province in Princeton (1945).
He worked underground on the diamond drills at Copper Mountain for a year after graduating.
Allin was employed with the Ministry of Forests for thirty-three years in various locations throughout British Columbia.
