Margaret Joan (Metzler) Passmore “Joan”
George Donald Passmore was born Blairmore, Alberta, around 1912. He married Margaret Joan Metzler in Princeton, BC on November 22, 1939. She was the only daughter of Mr. & Mrs. P.H. Richmond (of Princeton). At the time of their marriage, he was working as a telegraph operator in Princeton.
After the wedding, they planned to live in Blairmore, Alberta. However, in July 1942, Joan Passmore was in Princeton and received her Red Cross Home Nursing card.
He was a World War II veteran and was at the Manning Depot in Edmonton training as a wireless operator in November 1943. He was added to the Princeton Elk’s Smoke Fund monthly list in April 1945 as Pilot Officer, G.D. Passmore.
