Paquette, Darryl
Darryl Paquette was a top major league prospect. In the Provincial finals he pitched 3 full seven inning games and saved a fourth. In the stands for those games were two scouts from the St. Louis Cardinals and the New York Mets, who have both expressed interest in signing the young fellow. Ref: Sim. Sp. Sept. 3, 1975 Sim. Sp. June 21, 1978 Darryl was signed with the New York Mets and is now playing for their farm club in Wausau, Wisc. Daryl told the Spotlight in a letter that he worked 62 innings, has 30 strikeouts in 10 games with an earned run average 4.3. He has 3 shutouts and three one run games to his credit
