He married Myrtle Isabelle Marcotte in Princeton. They had two children, both born in Princeton: Ardis born in 1933 and Lyall born in 1934. The family left Princeton in the early 1940s and moved to Abbotsford. Fred and Myrtle were divorced when the family lived on Vancouver Island. Fred died about 2000 in his 90s. Fred was related to the Lyall Family of whom there are none left in the area.
