__ __ __Jack, Robert
Alice (_) Cook was born in St. Boniface, Manitoba. She lived on the family farm in Manitoba until pursuing a career in nursing. She moved to Princeton, BC, in 1974 where her husband, John Cook, died. She worked at the Pines Café, Community Services, the Coppertown Motel and the Princeton Motel while she raised two sons. She died at Princeton Hospital .
In 1977, Alice was given the devastating news that she had cancer. Determined to survive for her boys, with the aid of her family-by-heart, she fought and won that battle. In the beginning of 2009, she realized that her battle with cancer had begun again. At the age of 82, she felt she had had a good life and decided it was a battle she would not fight, and that she would leave this world on her terms – not those of cancer.
