Evelyn (Booth) Cooper
Hurd Cooper was born on October 10, 1896 at Cherokee Strip Indian Territory. He married Evelyn Booth on July 20, 1928. He died on May 12, 1985, in the Vancouver General Hospital.
He moved to Missouri in 1907 and then came to Canada (Halbrite, Saskatchewan) in 1913. He was in the Canadian Army in WWI and retired to Prairie River, Saskatchewan. He was in Orkney, Saskatchewan, in 1944. He was employed by Canadian Customs & Immigration, Monchy, Saskatchewan, in 1944.
In 1953, he opened the customs port of Chopaka, BC. In 1964, he moved to Keremeos. He was living in Keremeos when he died in 1985.
