Dora Eleanor (Morris) Corner
After his father came from Lancashire, England, John Corner was born in Ladysmith and raised and educated in Nelson and Creston.
He married Dora Morris, a stenographer, on October 31, 1942 in Saanich, BC.
He served in World War II.
While travelling, he became interested in pictographs in the Kootenays and wrote a book on the subject entitled “Pictographs (Indian rock paintings) in the interior of British Columbia”
John Corner of Okanagan Landing, BC, was the guest speaker at the Okanagan Historical Society Oliver-Osoyoos Branch on November 5, (year?) in St. Christopher’s Anglican Church Hall, Osoyoos. His topic: Pictographs in the Interior of BC (Indian Rock Paintings).
