Ethel Gray was born in Mara, BC, on July 28, 1896. She married Josef Ernest Doerflinger on October 3, 1914 in Mara, BC. She died in Enderby, BC, on June 18, 1987.
The Doerflinger family came to Princeton in early 1923. They bought the Princeton Bakery in March 1923 and after her husband died, she took over the business. The bakery had been in business for 22 years when she sold to David Young and Harry Townsend in September 1945.
She bought the clothing store from Mrs. Siverson in July 1949.
She was a Similkameen Star subscriber March 1943, 1944, 1945.
She was a member of the Eastern Star.
She was a member of the Board of Trade in 1957 and on the Centennial Committee for Board of Trade in 1957-1958.
