Leonard Dodd was a mining recorder. He came to Princeton from Nanaimo, BC. He was the government agent at Nanaimo and succeeded Mr. Beech as mining recorder in this area on October 1, 1927.
Mr. and Mrs. Dodd had 6 children and were to occupy to recently acquired government house on Harold Avenue. The government purchased this house, formerly occupied by Mrs. Doerflinger.
In 1930, he was acting as gold commissioner, government agent, registrar of vital statistics, magistrate, etc., of Princeton. And so was appointed official administrator for the Similkameen electoral district in September 1930.
He contributed 2.50 to the Blakeburn Relief Fund in 1930.
