Hoffman, Lloyd
Doris Stieb
Lloyd’s wife was Doris Stieb. They moved to Copper Mountain in the 40’s where Lloyd worked alongside his friend Paul Schmidt at the copper mine. When Copper Mountain shut down they moved to the Third Bench with their 3 children.
Lloyd decided to leave Copper Mountain mine and move into Princeton in the mid 1950’s. He started Lloyd’s Janitor Service and cleaned chimneys as well as janitorial. His helper was Boris Baran. They had a lot of chimneys to clean in that era of coal and wood stoves. By 1959 Boris and Margaret Baran bought the business and the Hoffman family moved to Ontario. Approximately 1965 Boris sold the business to Rudy and Nettie KLASSEN and family. They ran the business for many years. The Baran family moved to Kelowna. Rudy Klassen sold the business about 1975.
