He is survived by three brothers, Fred of Hope, Arthur of Adams Lake B.C, Harry of Sekiu Washington. Two sisters Mrs. Pauline Harris of Ladner, Mrs. Jessie Thomson of White Rock. R.L. Hoden had a cabin on the E.brow of Kettl;e Summitt, (el., 5500 ft.) which he built 50 years ago 1926- Used it in teh summer till his death nerar H.B. 1846 Trail Sim* He was born in Washington He married Margaret in August 1920, a Native woman from Summerland, BC Margaret left Richard during his trapping days He came into the Five Mile Valley in around 1932 and lived in a cabin on the Melandson place. In 1946 he sold his trapline to the Gold Brothers Often wrote his last name as Holden to differentiate himself from the family
