Born Carrie Thornton, Sept. 8th, 1889 at Greenwood, BC. Mrs. Huff’s father was a one-time soldier in US army, later a prospector and miner in the early days from 1870 – 1890. He was at Wild Horse Creek gold camp in the Kootenay country and was later on at Granite Creek. He was something of a singer. Mrs. Huff was married to Mr. William Huff and their family has been in saw mill business for years She was a pioneer Born Sept. 8/1889 (Greenwood) Story about Mrs. Huff in the Princeton Pioneer File.
