Bill and his brother, Oscar, each preempted a place, but it was not yet proved when war broke out in 1914. They both went overseas and returned when discharged. Lived at the south end of Missezula Lake with his family. Married Ruth, daughter of Dave & Addie Archibald, in 1921. Irene Marie was born April 18, 1922 with Doc McCaffrey in attendance at Archibald’s place. Edward Albert was born July 5th, 1927 in Princeton Hospital. From 1921-1933 Bill and Ruth lived in an old cabin. Then they built a house on the farm. That house stands today on the Allenby Road. (The house was bought, dismantled and reconstructed there.) Raised stock and sold hay. Bill died in 1954. In the spring of 1955 the place was sold to Bill and Esther Shopshire. Star Sub 12/45 add. Summers Creek
