Born in Eramosa Ont. 1838 and died in Princeton August 18, 1910 Hedley Gazette 1910. Was in Cariboo in early 1860’s Ranch at Ashnola sold 1906. See Lamont Creek Memoirs Mrs. E.M Daly, Keremeos Pent. Herald July 6, 1939: We Camped at Angus Lamont’s near 9 Mile Flat and the Similkameen River. Emma, his wife (I believe Angus was her third husband) was quite a case. She could smell a bottle a mile away. Sold his ranch to Mr. Lock of London Eng. for $10, 000. Oct. 9, 1900. Listed Prov Dir 1892 and 1897 1895 Rancher He was a miner and a prospector Owned and operated a hotel at the Ashnola townsite, this was the peice of land presently owned and operated by Mr. & Mrs. E. Willis on the south side of the Hope-Princeton highway, about six miles west of Princeton.
