Born in England July 1892 and passed December 24, 1979, age 87. Family came to Nanaimo via USA in 1898, came to Princeton in 1923. He married Sadie Brennan. Their eldest son, Arthur, was born in Australia. After the war, they lived in Ocean Falls where Lola and Leslie were born. Sadie died soon after they arrived in Princeton. He married Hazel Oelrich. They had Freda Dawn in 1939, Nina Hazel in 1944, and Tara Jennifer in 1953. Worked Allenby, Power House and Wilson Mine, farmed. Worked for BC Telephone, Princeton Brewery, Bethlehem Mine (steam engineer), Taylor’s mill, municipal campground mgr.(1963 – 1967), wrote poems published by the Spotlight.
