An engineer who interested Arthur Hickling, an agent for an English syndicate looking for investment, in the potentiality of Princeton as a coal mine.
They involved S.D. Sands, who had taken up the pre-emption of John Fall Allison, his father – in law – then deceased.
Sands sold the site to the Coal and Land Company. 1900 FGS M.A. I.M.E etc. Sheet and pillowcase dance at home of Mr. & Mrs. Feb. 11th Waterman and his wife subsequently moved to the Okanagan.
