Oriel Meausette was born on July 6, 1900 in Kenora, Ontario. She married George Allan on September 24, 1919 in Princeton, BC. She died on September 19, 1989 in the Princeton General Hospital.
Oriel (Meausette) Allen attended Princeton School from 1911 to 1928. She was a clerk for the Canadian Pacific Railway.
She served on the school board from 1933-1940. She also supported the United Church (1943), was the organist in 1947and President of the Ladies’ Aid Society (1944).
In August 1945, she was a founding member of the Red Cross Buzzing Bees Club, organized to make clothing to send overseas through the Red Cross.
