John William Miller, adopted
James Allin was born December 27, 1930, to Lorne Allin and Sarah (Callendar) Allin. He married Marie Miller in 1951. He died in Princeton on February 23, 2018, and is buried in the Princeton Cemetery.
He worked hauling ore around Princeton. He was employed by Newmont (1977- ).
He was the president (and trustee) of the Long Term Care Society in 1978. He was also E1. 2nd term trustee to Princeton Hospital Society in 1985.
Allin was the past district deputy of Royal Order of Purple.
In 1942, he enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force (R.C.A.F.), passed with honours and was posted to Quebec (1943). He served in Canada and England and was discharged in 1946.
He is on the Honour Roll of Amber Ski Club – Senior Members serving King and Country.
