George Allison was born on October 10, 1886. He was the eighth child of John Fall Allison and Susan Louisa (Moir) Allison. He died on January 22, 1948 in Vancouver, BC. He is buried in the Castle Rock Cemetery (Allison Family Cemetery).
According to the Similkameen Star, May 8, 1914, three claims were staked for Edgar Dewdney by George and Will Allison and Jimmy Riordan from an Indian hunter and trapper they had learned about good prospects where is now Nickel Plate.
Allison was appointed fire warden for the district in 1914. He also had a mining claim at Hedley but was unable to work due to a lack of finances.
