Knute Ahlstrom was born on April 22, 1907 in Vane Osaka, Sweden.
He served as a private in the Canadian Scottish Regiment, Royal Canadian Infantry Corps (1st Battalion). He was killed in action on June 9, 1944. He is buried in the Bretteville-Sur-Laize Canadian War Cemetery in Calvados, France.
K. Ahlstrom came in 2nd in the Princeton Ski Club’s annual cross-country classic in February 1934 and again in February 1935 and February 1935. In 1936, he came in first in the Class B Cross Country class with a time of 1:20:38. He also competed in the ski jump events (1936).
In August 1944, the Similkameen Star reported that he had been killed in action and that he had once been employed at DeMuth’s mill.
