Andrew Andersen was born in Norway in 1890. He died in Ashcroft in 1966. He married Hanna Nicoline Olsen (born in Bodin, Norway in 1887) in Princeton on October 4, 1913.
The family moved to Copper Mountain in June 1925.
He was a farmer (Andersen Ranch) and part of the Princess Camp, Copper Mountain.
In 1911, he was a director of the Hercules Consolidated Mining and Smelting Company, established to acquire and develop three groups of claim son Copper Mountain: Reco, Trachyte and Buffalo.
He was the first President of the Copper Mountain Ski Club, 1930.
In August 1940, he was a shift boss at Copper Mountain. That same year, his daughter, Ruby Dorothy Andersen (1922-1940) died at home of a heart-related illness.
