ames Adam Batie was born May 22, 1888 in Nebraska, USA. He married May Sitch in Hanna, AB on December 4, 1913. They came to BC in 1933. He worked as a miner. The couple had three children: Lloyd Batie of Penticton; Winona (Batie) Williams of Seattle; Audrey Batie of Vancouver. He died in Kelowna, BC on July 17th, 1973 at the age of 85.
