Arthur Brown was born in Manchester, England, on April 10, 1895. He came to Princeton, BC, from Nanaimo in 1937. He died in a car accident on October 17, 1950. He was survived by his wife, and son (William of Princeton), two daughters (Mrs. Hugh Anderson of Allenby, BC, and Mrs. C.G. Dunn of Kelowna, BC).

He was steam engineer and was employed by the Granby Construction Mining Co.’s power plant as a shift engineer (According to the 1946, Directory, he was an engineer at Granby Power).
