Silver plate, likely on copper, teapot or coffee pot. flower and leaf decoration around rim. Appears to have a black painted, wooden handle which made not be original. Manufacturer mark reads (with difficulty) G I MIx and Co and the number 3. Research shows that this was an American company, that first specialised in making tools and moved to making flatware and other items. The logo on the bottom was in use from 1854-1903, when the company were manufacturers of German silver and flatware. Bottom of pot is blackened from heat.
