Newspaper clipping of a photograph of the Copper Mountain School. Heading reads “Glimpse into the past” Caption reads: ” This was Copper Mountain School in 1016. It was built of log with a large roof overhang to keep snow from the porch. The stumps in the yard were the only playground equipment. The building had two chimneys, with permanent ladders for quick access to the roof in case of a chimney fire. Copper Mountain had a modern a [sic] two-room school when the mine ceased operation in 1956.” Collection of photographs associated with Copper Mountain, photographs are mounted on album paper with hand written notes below. Photographs lent to the museum by Mr.Jim Berg. Physical copies returned to owner.
