Note – Jack Briggains Hotel – You know what I am going to say. This is not taken from Granite Creek. The hills in the background do not match. There is no record of anyone named “Briggains” (in memoirs, letters, diaries, census records, mining records, directories or other photos) at Granite Creek. Given the size of this building, there should be some record or mention of this if it was in Granite Creek – and it wasn’t. – Diane Sterne
