Bowl, with Great Northern Hotel, Princeton written on it. White background, green and red stripe around inside of bowl edge. Heavy pottery. Pottery mark reads SW Dean Ltd, Vitrified, Burslem – which is in England. The company was an earthernware manufacturer at the Newport Pottery in Burslem, Stoke on Trent. They went bankrupt in 1902, and were taken over by S. Webster Dean. This pottery stamp was used from 1904-1910. The Great Northern Hotel was on Bridge Street, and burnt down in 1911, and was rebuilt in brick, and renamed the Princeton Hotel. No donor card found.
