Wind up toy train. Made of tin. Mechanical – needs a key to wind it up, but this is missing. Engine is blue and yellow and shows driver. States Hafner Trains, 115041. Has a headlight at the front. Has a passenger caboose that is red and white. Has a coal tender, in yellow and blue, with Hafner written on it, and 78100. Has a freight gondola in yellow 91746. Each item states Hafner and Wayandotte Toys, Made in the USA. The Hafner Manufacturing Company was a maker of tinplate clockwork-powered O gauge toy trains, based in Chicago, Illinois, from 1914 to 1951. It was formed when its founder, William Frederick Hafner, a co-founder of American Flyer, left the company in favor of creating his own company.
