Was interested in the history of McCaffery Lake on the 5a highway and was there at one time a fish hatchery ? And did Dr McCaffery build a cabin there?
Hi Bob, thank for your inquiries. All I can tell you about this topic is that the lake was named for Dr. McCaffery in 1969, some years after his death. I have had several inquiries about fish hatcheries in the area but have not found any resources to answer those questions yet. Todd Davidson, Manager, PDMAS.
