(1) Unknown
(2) Rosy (Lichardi) Fracas
Joseph Fracas was born in Switzerland around 1869. He married Rosy Lichardi, a widow, on December 24, 1919 in Princeton. At the time of their marriage, he was a rancher in the Similkameen District. She was living in Princeton.
In December 1912, he was injured by a falling tree. He intended leave the farm and go into business in town until he was recovered.
The Similkameen Star reported in June 1923 that the small group of ranchers at Darcy Mountain (just south of Princeton) were having a difficult time making a go of the business of agriculture and that they had turned to the lumber business. A group of five ranchers were involved, including Joseph Fracas.
In March 1925, there was a Sheriff’s Sale of lumber milling property, in the case of Workman’s Compensation Board, W.B. Ewart, and Turner Gellatly versus LeRoy Marks, J. Fracas, C. Byrd, R. Swegel, and J.S. Ackerblade.
