James Henderson Gauld (J.K.)
Annie ( ) Gauld was born in Canada in 1876.
She came to Princeton with her husband, J.H. Gauld, in August 1921. He was the newly appointed acting-manager of the Princeton Branch of the Bank of Montreal.
By December, she was active in the community and an inaugural member of the Princeton Players. The amateur actors group put on a production of a play – “Tommy’s Wife.”
She was instrumental in organizing women’s “hiking parties” to replace the commonly held pink tea parties. The group organized hikes twice a week in and around Princeton.
She competed in the Keremeos Flower Show in July 1923.
Like her husband, she enjoyed golf.
