Bless & Drake coal iron. Museum card calls this a steam crimping iron, but it appears to be a Bless & Drake coal iron, No 3. Has the ‘Salamander man of the North Face’ on the back of the iron. Appears to be missing the curved heat deflector. Made of metal, with wooden handle. Unable to open iron to look inside. Iron is very heavy. Circa 1852 according to web research.
