Carriage, or early car lamp. Made of metal. Back flips open to reveal a small brass container for fuel and wick. The front and side has clear glass bevelled squares, and the back has a small round red circle of glass. The other side has a slot for hanging the lamp to the carriage or car. Would have been painted black, but most of the paint has worn off. Likely from the 1800’s.
