This item appears to be a hanging vase – has holes for wires or rope to hang the vase. Vase is in a upside down pyramid shape, painted in sections of orange, green and blue. The top is painted yellow and has holes for flowers. If it is not a vase, then it could be a pyramid shaped ornament, but writer would not have any idea what the holes are for. Pottery mark, states = Hand painted, Made in Japan – has a bird in the middle of the mark. Probably Lusterware from the 1930’s. No donor card available. Very unusual piece, that has been a challenge to identify.
