Yellow all in one long johns, sometmes known as a union suit. Has a red stripe on the cuffs at the wrists and ankles. 8 white buttons down the front, is missing the 9th button at the bottom. Has a bottom flap at the back with 1 white button. Manufacturer label states – Deluxe Britannia. Semper Eadem, Made in England. Specially treated to resist shrinkage. Size 42. Appears to be made out of a very fine wool. No information found on the internet about this garment. However, Semper Eadem means Always the Same and was the motto of Elizabeth the First, born 7 September 1533, and died 24 March 1603. Purchased at the Princeton Crisis Assistance Thrift store in 2017 for $3, and donated by a Museum volunteer for the Textiles collection.
