Milk jug – EPBN – electroplated Britannia metal. Made by RR, Sheffield, Established 1796. 02848. Part of a set, includes teapot and sugar bowl in this accession. Top of jug has a fluted edge, a wide curved spout, 1 handle, and 4 decorative legs.
The business was established in 1796 in Sheffield by Richard Richardson. Active at Cornwall Works Pond Hill (1873-1883), 167 Norfolk St (1884-1890), Scotland St (1891-1925). In 1895 the firm was active also in the London showroom at Ely Place, Holborn Circus
