Oil lamp, silver colored metal base and oil container, probably nickel plated. Clear glass chimney that has the number H965.221 on it, and may not be original to the lamp., and milk glass shade, that has a chip in the top. The Rayo was a round wick central draft lamp, that would have burnt oil or kerosene.
The Rayo Lamp was manufactured by the Bradley & Hubbard Mfg. Co., in Meriden, CT. The flame spreader’s first patent is Nov. 30, 1894, then called “Perfection” which were initially made under contract with the Standard Oil Co.
