First Nations style mukluks – made of leather, flower beading around top of boots, and on foot. Fur and fringe decoration. Hand stitching, and have been worn. Lined with an old blanket.
Letter came with mukluks advising that they and a pair of gloves were lent to the donor, Megan Lee for a Rotary exchange program from 1999 to 2000, so that she could take them to Thailand to show the people she met there. The items were used in a play about Canadian culture and history.
