Top part of a wedding dress. Worn by Charlotte (lottie) Tanner on July 17th 1921 to Richard (Dick) Roylance, in Greenwood, BC. Writer is not sure if this top was worn over a long skirt, or if the skirt was removed for some reason. Top has an underbodice that has snaps down the middle, and a silky overtop with glass beads around the neckline, and embroidered flowers in satin stitch on the front. 3/4 length sleeves have glass buttons on the hem, and the fabric is seethrough. At each side of the garment hang long strips of fabric in the same type as the sleeves, and glass beads decorate the hem. This is an unusual piece, and appears to be hand made. Donated by Juanita Huff, worn by her mother, Charlotte.
