Depicts two people walking towards a forest. One uses a walking stick, and the other is wearing expensive plated armor. The latter is possibly accompanied by a horse who is peeking in to the right of the frame. In the sky is the sun, with a visage of the Virgin Mary holding a baby.
Likely painted by a follower of the Italian painter Stefano da Verona (Stefano di Giovanni d’Arbosio di Francia) that was active during the late 14th century. Followers of that painter are also known as the Veronese School.
Was once displayed in the National Gallery of London.
